According to John Freimanis of Apollo.lv, San Antonio Spurs draftee Davis Bertans will participate in individual workouts with the Spurs.

"I do not know exactly what the training will be and what exactly will be done, but I will do all that I required to do. Bertans said.

Some Spurs representatives visited Davis in Belgrade during the season.

"At that time, their main goal was to finally meet face to face. We went to dinner, and talked about basketball and about life. The Americans have always easy to communicate because they are very open. In addition, the Spurs organization is a classy organization all players are treated equally - whether you're Tony Parker or second round draft choice."

Bertans was drafted 42nd overall by the Spurs last year as a part of the George Hill-Kawhi Leonard trade.

It is expected that this fall, the young forward from Latvia will join the Spurs' training camp, his agents said that the Partizan club had already confirmed their agreement.

This will certainly help the Latvian national team, because I will go to training camp for the national matches at the European Championship qualifying tournament as well.

In addition, Bertans says he no longer have knee problems that arose last summer after being over-worked.

"My weight now is 105 kg. which is the same as before, but I feel better. Prior to joining Partizan, my weight is and 101 kg, so that now I have added four kilogams. I'd like to believe that because of the muscle mass I'm working on" said Bertans with a a laugh.
