Celtics cut Heat's series lead 2-1
Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 11 rebounds and Rajon Rondo scored 21 points with 10 assists and six rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics to a 101-91 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night, cutting Miami's lead in the series to 2-1.
LeBron James finished with 34 points and eight rebounds but the Heat went cold during a 7-minute stretch towards the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second, as Boston went on 15-0 run to turn a six-point deficit into a nine-point lead.
The Celtics entered the second-half leading 55-42, and stretched their advantage to 85-63 entering the fourth quarter.
Paul Pierce added 23 points for Boston, Ray Allen chipped in 10 points, while Marquis Daniels and Keyon Dooling scored nine, and seven points respectively off the bench.
Dwayne Wade had 18 points for Miami, Mario Chalmers scored 14, and Mike Miller added 11 points.
Game 4 is Sunday night in Boston.
