James, Wade carry Heat past Pacers to win Game 1
LeBron James scored 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and, Dwyane Wade finished with 29 points despite shooting just 8-of-23 from the floor, and the Miami Heat defeat the Indiana Pacers 95-86 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Sunday.
Chris Bosh scored 13 points for Miami, but left late in the first half with a lower abdominal injury and did not return.
It was an evenly close match, the game was tied at 70 heading into the fourth quarter. But the Heat turned it up in the final period, outscoring the Pacers 25-16, with Wade and James combining for 22 points to take the semifinal series opener over Indiana.
David West and Roy Hibbert had double-doubles for the Pacers.
West finished with 17 points and 12 boards, while Hibbert added 17 points and 11 rebounds. Darren Collison and George Hill scored 10 points apiece for Indiana.
Game 2 is on Tuesday in Miami.
