Some housecleaning news from tonight: Buford says Spurs have extended qualifying offers to restricted FAs Danny Green, Patty Mills.
This means when free agency begins on July 1, San Antonio will have the option to match any offer sheet that either Mills and Green will receive from other NBA Clubs.
Green started at shooting guard most of last season, while Mills have provided some offensive spark off the bench and proved to be a reliable backup at the point guard spot when Tony Parker is resting on the bench.
Both players were important parts of the rotation last season, keeping them will make the Spurs set on the wing and guard spots, and may just look for another big man or two to shore up their frontcourt.
