According to the Boston Globe, San Antonio Spurs swingman Danny Green could be under the Celtics' radar. Green is coming off a breakout year in San Antonio and has averaged 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 66 regular season games with the Spurs.
More importantly, Green plays defense and can hit it from the outside making 43.6 percent of his shots from beyond the arc during the regular season. Those are two qualities Boston is looking for in a wingman.
However, the lanky forward who appear to finally find his home in San Antonio is a restricted free agent. That means the Spurs can match any offer to him.
Nonetheless, if an NBA team offers Green further north of the mid-level exception, he could be playing for another team next season.
What do you think Spurs fans? Should the Spurs push hard to retain the services of Danny Green? In your opinion how much should the Spurs offer him to stay in San Antonio.
