The San Antonio Spurs selected Marcus Denmon with the 59th selection in the second-round of the NBA 2012 Draft.
Denmon led the Tigers in scoring the past two seasons.
"It's an honor!!!," tweeted Denmon after the draft.
The University of Missouri guard averaged 17.7 points per game in his senior season for the Tigers and earned All-Big 12 Conference first-team honors in both his junior and senior seasons.
The 6'3" guard shot better than 40-percent from behind three-point-range, ranked second in the Big 12 Conference, and shot nearly 90-percent from the free throw line.
He will join a veteran Spurs team that finished with best overall record (50-16) in the 2011-2012 season.
